On Wednesday 25th May 2022 was organized a discussion with Dr Christian Dürr and a reading from his novel “Die Befreiung oder Marcelos Ende” in the "Idriz Ajeti” hall at the Philological Faculty of the University of Prishtina. This event was organized by forum ZFD Kosovo in cooperation with OeAD Prishtina, Austrian Embassy and the University of Prishtina. Dr Dürr is one of the curators of the permanent exhibition of the concentration camp memorial Mauthausen and Gusen in Austria. He was head of the Mauthausen concentration camp memorial’s archive and is coeditors of the „Mauthausen-Studien“ and „Mauthausen-Erinnerungen“. Dr Dürr extensively researched in the areas of nazism, history of the concentration camp and cultures of remembrance.

The event was hosted by Verena Walzl, OeAD Prishtina, followed by welcoming words of Milote Sadiku, vice dean of the Faculty of Philology, in the name of UP. Austrian Ambassador Mag Christoph Weidinger expressed the importance of this event and welcomed the guests as well. The opening was followed by the reading and discussion with Dr Christian Dürr moderated by Alexander Vojvoda, project manager forumZFD Kosovo. Afterwards the participants were invited to a reception.
