Funded by the US Embassy in Pristina, as part of the University Support Grant, the project “Initiating transformation of assessment and establishing academic integrity practices at the University of Prishtina” brought together 32 students and five professors from four faculties at the University of Prishtina (the Faculty of Philology, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics) to discuss assessment practices in their faculties. Lively discussions reflected that while assessment at UP still encourages memorization, students are eager to be assessed in ways that develop higher order thinking and labor market skills.
